If so, Parker Franklyn is assisting a Global Powerhouse within the insurance sector that is looking to appoint two Sales Advisers in its team in the City Centre. This Global Broker is a well-known business that span across 120 countries, employing over 50,000staff. The positions will be based in a new team within the Leeds Office, currently just three in this team (part of a larger office), and with expansions plans afoot, now would be a great time to be part of the team to grow with the Division.
Following a period of onboarding and training, specifically around the technical aspects of commercial insurance, your role will be to speak with clients that either have been introduced to the division or have tried to obtain cover online and struggleddue to the type of risk - it could be the cover required or certain things about their profile. You will go through the process of obtaining the clients information and then 'going to market’ with a select number of insurance partners to identify the rightlevel of cover, and price, for them to have their mind at ease and then ensuring you covert the business. Also, it’s key for you to build strong relationships with the Underwriters at the partner insurance companies to ensure you get the best terms and ratespossible for your prospective clients. This isn’t a 'computer says no’ type role, you will gain the technical knowledge to understand what questions to ask to ensure you can best help, where to go to get the clients the right cover, and then trade to get thebest deals for them.
Experience wise, you’ll need to have a proven track record in sales within a call centre. The office isn’t your typical contact centre, it within a corporate environment with professionals working diligently on technical, sometimes multi-million-pound deals,so you must be comfortable with this and respect your colleagues. Also, you will be tenacious and proactive, someone that is driven by exceeding targets and wants to learn new things. Ultimately, you will be looking to become an expert in your field and challengeyourself in a technical role.
