I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Product Manager to join a leading consumer goods organisation based within their Head Office function on the outskirts of Leeds.

You will be responsible for working closely with the Product Managers on their specific categories helping them drive innovation and bringing new products to the market internationally.

Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Product Manager will include;
- Monitor Sales, Margins & profits again targets and produce reports as requested.
- Assisting in identifying & developing new products to enhance the category portfolio.
- Supporting the team with all administrative tasks for the category.
- Providing product technical data support to the team.
- Working cross functionally with Sales & Marketing to understand the changing markets
- Supporting to improve new or existing products through design or the redesign of products and/or packaging in line with company branding standards.
- Maintain cross functional relationships to achieve the overall product & category strategy.
- Monitoring competitor information, market trends, category insight and highlight to the senior team
- Assisting with category events, trade shows & product launches.

Ideal requirements for the role;
- Educated ideally to degree level
- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate performance and interpret results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
- Strong IT skills with good understanding of MS Office
- Driving licence is essential

This Assistant Product Manager role is based in Leeds and is commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield and surrounding areas.
