**Job introduction**:

The available post will cover the assessment of social housing including specific focus on the implementation of our New Allocation Policy. This will require data cleansing so will require the successful applicant to familiarise themselves with the current policy and the new policy that has come into effect as of April 2025. Knowledge of the part 6 and part 7 of the housing act will be useful, however resources and training will be available.

**About the role**:
Ideally you should have some experience of dealing directly with the customers and working in collaboration with others to achieve results. You should have some understanding of the issues faced by individuals who are in recognised housing or medical need with our Allocations Policy.

You will be a self-starter who can demonstrate a range of skills that include excellent customer service, strong organisational skills, as well as an effective communicator with an ability to achieve results.

Housing Allocations Officers play a critical role in supporting the Local Authority to ensure that the limited amount of social housing is let to those that have a recognised housing or medical need to move in accordance with the Allocations Policy as well as providing assistance and advice to people with a complex range of housing issues. We are looking for people that are passionate about achieving outcomes for individuals in need.

**Additional information**:
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
