**Our client, an** award-winning supplier of clothing is looking to recruit an Human Resources Manager. We supply a wide range of customers and their approach has won us orders from leading brands such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Selfridges.
To achieve our ambitious growth plans we are now recruiting an experienced HR Manager to join their successful business.
They are looking for somebody that is going to be excited about being part of a fast growing, dynamic business. Somewhere that really values people and wants to see them progress and develop.
Reporting directly to the Manager Director, the HR Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.
The HR Manager is an advocate for the learning and development, working with the business leaders to anticipate future development needs of its team, delivering learning and development plans to facilitate the growth of the business and the team member.
The HR Manager will ensure all employee related activities are compliant with current UK employment laws.
**About You**
We are looking for a HR professional who places culture and values above policy and procedure, who is open and honest, and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work with any team to achieve the goals of the client
You will need to be calm and measured in your approach to employee relations, able to assess situations with a business and people mindset in equal measure.
**Essential Functions**:
- Analyses recruitment trends and metrics in partnership with the senior management team to develop best practice solutions, and ensure recruitment is successful right first time.
- Works closely with recruitment partners to create flexible and robust recruitment strategy to match the changing needs of the business.
- Manages onboarding of all new recruits to the business, ensuring a best-in-class selection process through to induction and training program is carried out.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains HRMS to ensure the correct information is held for all team members, and the software in use is fit for purpose.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Partners with the finance department as required to maintain correct and compliant payroll.
- Manages and maintains absence management policy to reduce abseentism, conducting information sensitive absence management investigations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention through successful employee relations initiatives.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Work closely with the operations management to ensure health and safety practices are compliant and fit for purpose.
- Develops and maintains internal learning and development system, ensuring all information is kept relevant and up to date.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Manages and evaluates reward and recognition programs to maintain the highest employee engagement and value.
**Person Specification**:
**Experience**:
- CIPD Level 7 Qualification or proven experience working within a similar HR role.
- Minimum 5 years management and team leader experience.
- Working knowledge of current UK employment law.
**Competencies**:
- Strong business strategy acumen.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of business.
- Ability to manage busy workload and prioritizing tasks.
- Ethical and balanced approach to employee relations.
- Microsoft Office suite experience and practical knowledge.
- Ability to give calm constructive feedback in difficult situations.
