**Job description**:
Human Resources is a key enabling function responsible for the planning and delivery of the MCA's People Strategy and a full range of HR services including Organisational Design and Development, Talent Management Employee Relations, Volunteer support, Reward and Resourcing, Planning and Governance.

HR Resourcing Advisors work with all directorates within the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) providing effective support and guidance for all resourcing needs, whilst ensuring compliance across all processes.
- Act as point of contact for hiring managers to offer guidance and support on all aspects of the resourcing process.
- Ensuring that all resourcing services provided across the MCA are consistent and in line with team strategic goals whilst adhering to governance standards and industry best practice including GDPR and the Civil Service Recruitment Principles.
- Create and deliver training on all aspects of resourcing as required by the business.
- Create, review and deliver governance on resourcing processes utilising HR data to inform decision making.
- Work closely with the MCA Communications Team, to design and review content for MCA social media plans regarding recruitment whilst identifying any niche or hard to fill roles.

**Person specification**:
Required experience:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

- Working in a fast-paced environment, providing advice and delivering a high-quality service in a HR, recruitment, account management or equivalent environment.
- Guiding and advising internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and well organised with the ability to effectively manage shifting priorities.

**Additional Information**

There will require occasional travel around the UK to attend interviews and meetings, this may include overnight stays.

This post is offered on a Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) basis to complete a finite piece of work.

If you're employed by a non-departmental public body (NDPB) by moving jobs this will involve a change of employer and you may break the statutory rules on continuity of employment.

**Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements**

Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.

The expectation at present is a minimum of **60%** of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders.
