**Key Details**
- **Job Title**: Programmes Assistant
- **Location**: Remote (c. once a month travel to London and other UK cities, with expenses reimbursed)
- **Contract**: 6-month rolling contract (with strong intention to extend)
- **Working Hours**: 40 hours per week, 9:00-18:00, Monday to Friday
- **Weekend Work**: 1-2 Saturdays per month (September to June), with time off in lieu
- **Salary**: £25,396.80 per annum basic salary.

**About Bridging the Bar**

Bridging the Bar (BTB) is an award-winning charity working to increase diversity at the Bar of England and Wales. We support aspiring barristers from underrepresented backgrounds through a range of high-impact programmes, events, and partnerships with leading chambers, law firms, and institutions.

**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes efficiently

**Academy Administration**
- Organise and coordinate placements with chambers and partner organisations
- Proactively resolve any issues during placements to ensure they run smoothly
- Contribute to the production of materials and documentation for programme delivery
- Support the design and continuous improvement of programme structures

**Events Support and Attendance**
- Assist with event planning and provide on-the-day support
- Assist the photographer, conduct informal interviews, and carry out logístical tasks as needed
- Represent BTB professionally at external events

**External Communications**
- Manage mailing lists and support communications with external stakeholders
- Create and distribute engaging materials, including newsletters and social media content

**Programme Team Support**
- Support the Programmes Manager with preparation for internal meetings, including board meetings
- Taking meeting minutes at stakeholder meetings or internal Board meetings
- Assist with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks across the team
- Contribute to collaborative planning and delivery across the organisation

**About You**

**Essential**
- Exceptionally organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of personal initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team
- Reliable, detail-focused, and adaptable to new challenges

**Desirable**
- Previous experience in events, programme delivery, or administrative roles
- Interest in or experience working in the legal, charity, or social mobility sectors
- Confident using Google Workspace and digital communication tools
