Are you ready to join us?_** **Job Summary** As a Driver for our thriving and innovative independent pharmacy in the city centre of York, you will work as part of our friendly and busy team to build on our current successes. You will safely transport and deliver a range of medication to patient’s homes, including to care homes and also to GP surgeries and elsewhere as required. You will be able to identify and report any concerns that you have about any patients. You will communicate with the pharmacy team and work flexibly to ensure that patients are able to receive their essential medications when they need them. You will be joining an award-winning pharmacy team with a strong ethos of collaboration and innovation whilst keeping our customers and our team at the heart of all our activities. **Responsibilities and Duties** Duties include (but are not limited to): - Work within procedures to transport and deliver medications - Liaise with the pharmacy team to raise concerns about customers (supported by the Safeguarding Lead) - Ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy, clean and tidy enough to safely transport medications - Report promptly any accidents, incidents or losses whether or not a third party is involved - Maintain and develop the great relationships that the pharmacy holds with it’s customers and other healthcare agencies - Ensure that all necessary documentation is complete - Use the pharmacy delivery app to plan, undertake and record deliveries - Undertake funded training, as identified You will report to the Practice Manager, and be supported by fantastic and growing management, administrative, clinical and pharmacy support teams. **Qualifications and Skills** - Full clean UK drivers license - Have access to own suitable vehicle insured for business use - Consent to a DBS check - Have or be willing to work towards a GPhC accredited short course in “Delivering Medicines Safely and Effectively” (full funded training can be given on commencement of the job) - Be able to identify and solve problems - Great organisational skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Great attention to detail **Salary and Benefits** Salary will be dependent upon skills and experience and will be reviewed regularly. Individual team members, and the team, as a whole, is rewarded for increases in business performance. The salary being offered for this role is: £9.70/hr There may be some flexibility in hours. You will be able to enrol in our pension scheme and benefit from a store discount. Training and development aspirations are well supported.
