**JOB TITLE**: Food and Beverage Assistant - Full Time

**JOB REFERENCE: RFBA 06/22**

**REPORTING TO**: Restaurant Manager

**HOURS**: 4-5 days out of 7 per week, including weekends.

**JOB LOCATION**:The Rabbit, Templepatrick 882 Antrim Road, Templepatrick, Ballyclare.

**SALARY: £10.50-£12.50 per hour**

As a Food & Beverage Assistant, your main job will be to welcome and serve all our guests ensuring they enjoy their dining experience. We encourage everyone to bring their own personality and passion to work every day. All of our Food and Beverage Managers & Supervisors started as F&B Assistants at one time as we always offer the opportunity to progress. You will be encouraged to improve and maximise your potential and we will support you along the way.

**Main duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Welcoming all guests to the restaurant in a friendly, polite manner.
- Serving food and beverage in a variety of settings and styles.
- Following the daily order of events as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
- Using the hotel till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.
- With training, have full and complete knowledge of all food/beverage and wine menus enabling you to help with any guest or customer queries.
- Take food and beverage orders, serve professionally and efficiently ensuring all guests have everything they need.
- Cleaning and resetting tables and ensuring all areas of the restaurant are neat and tidy.
- Carrying out all other daily duties as required by the management team.
- Directing any customer complaints to the Manager.
- Ensuring that your knowledge of the Hotel and facilities is up to date in order to upsell to guests if the opportunity arises.
- Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Hotel standards at all times.
- Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
- Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

**Applicant Essential Criteria**:

- Have a passion for the hospitality industry, great food, and great service.
- Have at least 1-year of previous waiting experience in a bar/ restaurant/ hotel.
- Previous experience within other areas of the hospitality sector (desirable).
- Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work morning, daytimes, evenings, and weekends.
- Have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.
- Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation, hygiene, and the Galgorm Collection brand.
