You'll be joining a team that's always looking for ways to improve how we do things, so they don't spend ages on tasks like processing data when software can do the work

The Semi Senior Accountant role is key to helping deliver excellent service and support to a varied client portfolio.

You will join the accounts team in a varied role which involves regular contact with customers, and most of the work is completed in the office with possibly a small amount of work at customers’ premises.

You will have a wide range of work, including year-end accounts and tax return preparation, along with looking after your clients’ financial record keeping, VAT returns, CIS return preparation, setting up bookkeeping systems and helping customers with Xero.

The software you will be using includes Xero for the bookkeeping and Dext (Receiptbank), TaxCalc and Brightpay for CIS returns.

To be considered for this position, you will need at least five years' experience working in an accountancy practice and have the AAT qualification. For the role, you will need to be able to work in an organised and accurate way and have good communicationskills as you will be working directly with your clients. You will need to be able to demonstrate good knowledge and experience with accounts and self-assessment tax return preparation, VAT return processing and administration. You need to be able to use Xeroconfidently, and Dext (Receiptbank), training for this will be given.
