You'll be joining a team that's always looking for ways to improve how we do things, so we don't spend ages on tasks like processing data when software can do the work The Semi Senior Accountant role is key to helping us deliver excellent service and support to our customers. **What will you be doing** You will join our accounts team in a varied role which involves regular contact with our customers, and most of the work is completed in the office with possibly a small amount of work at customers premises. You will have a wide range of work, including yearend accounts and tax return preparation, along with looking after some of our customer's financial record keeping, VAT returns, CIS return preparation, setting up bookkeeping systems and helping customerswith Xero. The software you will be using includes Xero for the bookkeeping and Dext (Receiptbank), TaxCalc and Brightpay for CIS returns. **What we offer** Your salary will be between £25K and £30K depending on your experience for a 37.5-hour week, and you'll have flexitime available. There's a relaxed and supportive environment with lots of opportunities to progress." **The qualifications and experience we are looking for** To be considered for this position, you will need at least five years' experience working in an accountancy practice and have the AAT qualification. For the role, you will need to be able to work in an organised and accurate way and have good communicationskills as you will be working directly with our customers. We are looking for good knowledge and experience with accounts and self-assessment tax return preparation, VAT return processing and administration.
