**Account Manager - Software Solutions for Leisure Management in Higher Education
Basic salary £35,000, OTE £70,000 + £6,000 car allowance + benefits
Covering the UK, home based**
My client is a market leading provider of software to the sport and leisure sector. They have created a new role in their account management team, managing existing customer accounts and upselling in the higher and further education sector. You'll be buildingrelationships with these key clients, understanding their needs and pain points and advising on additional solutions to ensure their software package is optimised for their needs. We're looking for someone with great account management skills, used to seeingclients on a face to face basis and building strong, trusted relationships.
**The Role**:

- This is an account management position, looking after around 50 existing accounts which are all universities and FE colleges.
- You'll be selling software solutions (Saas) for the sports and leisure facilities that education establishment has, which management memberships, court and class bookings, online payments, ID management, marketing, loyalty schemes and much more.
- This is a new role, created because the education customers have a different set of needs and requirements to corporate and SME clients and the business feels it should be looked after by one person so experiences and successes/opportunities can be identifiedacross that similar account base.
- You'll work from home but there is an expectation for national travel to see customers, maybe once every 3-6 months to discuss new product modules, upsell onto their existing system and manage any problems or concerns.
- There will also be trade shows and conferences to attend as well as the potential to create an event specifically for your customer base and potential new clients brought in through the new business team
- There will be a need to re-tender from time to time but there is a bid manager in place to support you with that.

**The Person**:

- We're looking for someone with great account management experience, used to being client facing and with excellent relationship building skills
- You'll have a consultative sales background, this doesn't have to be specifically from the software sector, although it would help, or selling into education but you will have sold a solution rather than just a product.
- we need someone who is comfortable with UK travel and can stay away from home when needed, but this won't be all the time and is dependent on your location.
- You'll have a really engaging personality that can gain trust from customers quickly and be really empathetic to their challenges.

**The Package**:

- The basic salary is £35,000 with OTE of £70,000 although this is uncapped and there is an accelerator bonus for over achievement of target.
- There is a car allowance of £6,000 per year
