**About The Role**

The post holder’s time will be divided between payroll duties in relation to monthly payroll processing and ongoing HR administration.

**Key Duties**
- ** HR Administration **- create and maintain records within the HR System (PAMs), process starter and leaver paperwork, maintain electronic and system personnel records, holiday and absence management data, arrange leaver interviews etc.
- ** Payroll Administration **- assist with the preparation of payroll instructions to the outsourced supplier and all associated payroll/pension month end reporting and submissions. Provide full cover when required (holiday times etc.).
- ** Equal Opportunities **- undertake equal opportunities monitoring and reporting, assisting with the annual FEC return and article 55 return.
- ** On Boarding** - obtain required ID/documentation, perform right to work checks, signed paperwork/policies etc., reference requests/checks, perform Access NI checks and Experian credit checks, keeping new start checklist updated. Assist with staff inductions.
- ** Benefits/Services** - exchange data with service and benefits suppliers. Responsibility for uniform orders for new/existing branch staff.
- ** HR Data** **& Reporting **-** **complete employment returns and submissions to various parties. Use PAMS and available data to carryout analysis and identify trends.
- ** Communication & Engagement -** post staff communications on internal systems and support staff queries etc, ensuring the highest possible service levels.
- ** Training Administration **- arrange training, maintain records, provide training data, administer e-learning platforms, monitor annual review progress etc.
- ** Safety & Wellbeing** - provide administration to the H&S Working Group and for any wellbeing initiatives as required. Assist with the co-ordination of wellbeing initiatives/activities for Head Office and across the branch network
- ** Office Administration** - general office/administrative duties to support the smooth running of HR department. Provide Reception switchboard and administrative cover when required.

**Required Criteria**
- 2 year’s similar experience
- Degree qualified
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and engage with key stakeholders
- Be a key team player within the HR team
- High proficiency in MS Office particularly in Excel and Word
- High degree of accuracy of data input and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills demonstrating your ability to prioritise and manage your workload whilst using your own initiative and working independently
- Be proactive and diligent in all activities of the role, taking initiative and pride in your work
- Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines

**Desired Criteria**
- PAMS or similar HRIS user experience
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation within the UK
- CIPP qualified (or similar payroll qualification)
