My client, one of the leading logistics and delivery companies in the UK, are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to be based out of their Liverpool head office.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, and working closely with the Finance Director and other senior members of the operations team, the Finance Business Partner will be crucial in providing financial and commercial decision support for an operationalregion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the region's most fast-paced and well-recognised businesses, in a truly commercial and operational position. The role offers hybrid working, with some regular site-based travel required.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assist the Finance and Executive leadership teams in driving acceptable financial performance from the operational area, increasing financial awareness in non-financial managers.
- Work in partnership with the Finance Planning & Analysis team to develop appropriate analysis and understanding of critical operational cost drivers and KPIs with non-finance managers.
- Develop and deliver relevant and timely periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis sufficient to enable the management team to understand commercial performance against key levers and KPIs.
- Drive understanding of the financial and operational evaluation of customer contracts, business cases and appraisals for investment and change, taking responsibility for the delivery of expected business returns.
- Build effective working relationships with Finance colleagues across the business to provide high quality decision support.
- Liaise with Pricing to ensure that commercial decision making reflects accurate cost to serve analysis.
- Work closely and effectively with the Head of Finance and the Planning & Analysis team in developing operational, strategic, annual and tactical plans and forecasts.
- Build forecasts which ensure operational buy-in and allow performance management with relevant KPIs
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Previous business partnering experience, ideally in a fast-paced, multisite, operational environment
- Confident, proactive and collaborative style, able to build strong relationships with non finance
- Analytical mindset, with a strong commercial understanding of the logistics industry
