Activities Co-ordinator
The care sector is such a rich and rewarding place to work and we aim to make a meaningful difference in our care homes. We always look for the kindest and most resilient people to come and support our residents - no two days will be the same and you will receive the learning and development you need to thrive. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, flexible staff whose focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times. Is that you?
We are looking for someone preferably with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll have great planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively. And, whenever you communicate with a Resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
**Expected hours will be 35 hours per week, 5 day shifts over Monday - Friday**
As an Activities Co-ordinator this will mean planning and implementing the kinds of activities that will delight our Residents, giving our Residents the confidence to socialise more effectively, working on a new activity idea based on Residents’ hobbies and helping the Home by organising essential fundraising events.
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at Priory Mews Care Home, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
**Responsibilities**
- To arrange outings during the summer
- To raise funds to meet the needs of the clients with the activities
- To organise a programme of events that covers each day
- To book entertainers on a regular basis according to the tastes of the clientele
- To involve other staff in helping to meet this need
- To discuss with clients and their families what stimulation they would prefer
- To monitor the effectiveness of each activity and deal with each appropriately
- Support healthcare Assistants as needed during resident dining and transfers to other areas.
We’ll provide ongoing training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn something new.
We are passionate about ensuring that our current and future Colleagues can be their true selves, and that our workforce represents the communities we serve. We prioritise inclusive working practices and invite applicants from all backgrounds into our RCB Healthcare family and we are committed to providing the quickest possible turnaround from the point of making you a job offer to you starting with us on day one.
