Our Client is a multinational business with over 125,000 employees worldwide. The manufacturing power house contains a number of household name brands and are looking for an inspiring and knowledgeable Payroll Team Leader to join the team due to growth andinternal promotion.

This is a specialist Lead role within a busy Group Payroll team. Accuracy of data, and especially pension data and reporting, is a key deliverable of the GSC Payroll team. We process 19 payrolls across 3 different systems and the role is a crucial supportto the Payroll Manager and Team Leads in the wider responsibilities of high-quality payroll processing for the Group. This role includes supporting payroll team of appox 12 people.

**Accountabilities**:

- Processing of payrolls. Monthly hands-on processing of payrolls through our systems, with the majority being processed through SAP SuccessFactors.
- Be GSC Lead for Group Pensions. Point of contact for monthly reviews and the ongoing relationship with the Group Pensions team.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of outbound reporting to Group Pensions (TAES files).
- Processing and approval of payments to third parties, outside the payroll system. This includes HMRC, Group Pensions and sundry recipients.
- Liaison with accounting teams to ensure all payment and intercompany transfer queries are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support system development and maintenance, including testing when required.
- Supporting the Payroll Manager, Leads and wider team as required.

**Person Specifications**:

- Maintain a strong control environment. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date, and that internal controls are adhered to at all times. Strong attention to detail required. Monthly reporting to Group Pensions is very detailed, with allinformation needing to be 100% accurate.
- Able to build good working relationships across multiple areas, including Payroll, Group Pensions and other GSC teams.
- Very well organised. Deadlines are tight across our multiple payrolls.
- CIPP would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Take ownership. Takes ownership of Pensions data quality and seeks for ways to improve processes and outputs.
- Technically sound in all Payroll processes, including current legislation and regulatory requirements as well as PAYE, National Insurance, SSP and SMP.
- Willing to get stuck in. This will be a hands-on role, with the incumbent needing to manage the need to 'get things done' with taking a step back to manage overall Pensions and Payroll compliance.
- Experience of MHR iTrent and OpenPay would be useful, SAP SuccessFactors would be an advantage, but none of them are essential.

**The shared service centre based near Bootle in Merseyside, provides Payroll services for over 40 different locations within the business, via 19 distinct payrolls. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Advisor or Team Leader, witha good understanding of pensions and a talent for the technical process aspects of the Payroll function.
