**Salary / Rate of pay**:up to £65,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

A contemporary central London hotel and we have a fantastic opportunity for an Executive Chef to join their team.

We’re seeking a passionate and creative Excutve Chef to manage and oversee the kitchen

Excutive Chef is responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen operations, from menu creation to all food safety and staff development.

**Areas of Responsibility**
- Takes responsibility for all kitchen operations, including the main kitchen, pastry, Conference & Banqueting and kitchen porters
- To act as an inspirational leader to all kitchen employees, setting an example to others in excellent service standards and cleanliness
- To ensure that all employees put the needs of the customer first and that a customer culture applies throughout the business
- To ensure that the kitchen is staffed efficiently according to business needs
- To ensure that there is ongoing training within the kitchen, to maintain standards and ensure flexibility throughout the team
- To manage and maximise the financial contribution of the kitchen in line with budget expectations, including maintaining GP margins efficient purchasing and stock control
- To ensure that menus are updated regularly throughout the year, with focus on seasonal and local produce

**Duties**
- Must take responsibility for the management of all kitchen operations in the hotel in a planned, structured and effective manner
- Manage the recruitment, training and development of staff within the department
- Ensure that SOP’s are in place within the department and that they are being adhered to
- To cultivate the understanding of good food throughout the business
- To ensure and maintain the overall quality of the food served, combining high quality with profitability and value for money
- To review periodically the menus and the presentation of the food, in consultation with the Food & Beverage Manager
- To maintain the margins of food in accordance with budget
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring that we are buying the best ingredients at the lowest prices
- To adhere to the wage portion of the budget allocated to the kitchen
- Work closely with the Events team, ensuring that all weddings and events run smoothly and that special guest requests are managed well
- Ensure that there is strong communication with the Front of House team

**Package**
- Up to £65,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
