Colchester Road Residential is a well-established care home dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents in a comfortable and supportive environment. We are looking for a dedicated **Night Team Leader** to join our team and help us deliver high-quality care during the night shift.

**Job Summary**
Responsible for overseeing and managing the care and well-being of residents during the night shift. They ensure the smooth running of the home overnight, supervising care staff and ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Supervision**: Lead, motivate, and support a team of care staff, ensuring they deliver high-quality care to residents.
- **Care Delivery**: Ensure residents’ health, safety, and comfort are maintained overnight, assisting with personal care, medication management, and responding to any emergencies.
- **Staffing**: Manage staff schedules, monitor performance, and ensure adequate staffing levels during the night shift.
- **Resident Records**: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on residents’ care plans, health, and well-being.
- **Health & Safety**: Ensure the care home environment remains safe and compliant with all regulations, conducting routine checks as required.
- **Communication**: Report on any incidents or concerns to senior management, and ensure all relevant parties are informed of any changes or issues with residents’ care.
- **Training**: Provide guidance and support to staff on procedures, ensuring that they are well-trained and confident in their duties.

**Key Skills & Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a care home setting or healthcare environment is essential.
- Must hold a valid NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage crises.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, medication management, and care plans.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient with a focus on resident care.

This role requires a responsible individual who is able to work independently and make important decisions during the night shift, ensuring continuity of care and well-being for all residents.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
