We are looking for an enthusiastic technical leader with an excellent understanding of whole life asset management and a proven track record in delivering complex programmes of work. You will be expected to use your strong leadership and project management skills to support the team in delivering our asset management programme on time, to budget and to the expected quality standards. You will work closely with our internal teams, external contractors, risk management authorities, and professional partners to develop, manage, report and deliver our revenue programme of works as well as supporting our capital pipeline. You will work closely with other Catchment Leads across Hertfordshire and North London Area to coach and mentor team members and provide support to your Team Leader on specific portfolios. You will also provide senior user support on the capital programme. The team
- The team are responsible in ensuring FCRM assets within Hertfordshire & North London Area are inspected, surveyed, assessed, maintained and operated in a safe, effective and efficient manner to reduce flood risk.
- You will also be required to support our two other catchment teams supporting our Area outcomes. We ensure people and property are protected from flooding by taking the right investment decisions based upon robust data and evidence.

Experience/skills required
- We're seeking a Technical Leader with extensive knowledge and experience of asset management; programme/project management and health and safety. You will need strong time management skills to manage and prioritise a varied workload to set deadlines and be able to use your initiative to make timely decisions. Other key requirements include excellent communication skills and proficiency in data and information management to make evidence-based decisions. You should have a real desire and commitment to build relationships with our customers and internal teams to achieve our goal of protecting people and property from flooding.
- Qualifications and/or experience in Construction Design Management Regulations would be advantageous. Educated to degree level in civil engineering (or similar field) or be able to demonstrate comparable technical knowledge and experience. Strong asset management and flood risk management experience, with evidence of commissioning, supporting and delivering successful work programme/project delivery through others.
