As the GRAHAM business continues to grow, we are looking to employ an enthusiastic Stakeholder and Communications Officer, who will support the site management team to deliver key objectives for the M2 Junction 5 in Maidstone, Kent.
Reporting to the Stakeholder & Communications Manager for the Civils division, this role will be project based with travel required between sites within the project area. Occasional requirements to work outside normal working hours to attend evening public meetings or presentations as required.
**A positive attitude, strong 'people' skills and excellent communication, across all levels, is a requirement for this post.**
**A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is also a necessity as our sites are not served by public transport.**
The Stakeholder and Communications Officer shall:
- Maintain the communications strategy, capturing all stakeholder considerations through a detailed project communications plan.
- Identify Influencers and maintain good working relationships throughout the life of the project, including Local Authorities, land owners and immediate neighbours.
- Identify Road Users, Residents & Businesses, Schools and Colleges affected by the works and identify opportunities to promote good working relationships.
- Support the Stakeholder & Communications Manager and Project Manager with reporting and attendance to the Client Communications Meeting, raising any resident/community concerns.
- Provide Scheme Level public liaison requirements as directed by the Project Manager.
- Co-ordinate the Customer Relations Information System (CRIS) and provide written responses to public enquiries ensuring Service Level Agreements adhered to.
- Provide written and verbal responses to enquiries from the public and the Client
- Attend and support public engagement meetings and help promote a positive image of construction and the benefits of redevelopment.
- Liaise with the project team to obtain articles and draft project monthly newsletter
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager.
- The post will require travel between different locations for which travel expenses will be compensated for work related journeys.
