We are looking for two House Parents under the two pattern shifts weekly:
1). Monday - Friday ( Annual Salary - £41,600)

2) Friday - Monday ( Annual Salary - £20,600)

As a Live-In Psychologically Informed Practitioner, you will serve as a vital pillar of support and stability in our home. Representing the role of a parent, you will play a key role in making the home feel nurtured and providing consistent care for the young people in our care. You will create a safe, therapeutic, and enriching environment where children aged between 9-17 can heal, grow, and thrive. **Job Role**:
The role of the Live-In Psychologically Informed Practitioner (Live In PIP) at Chalk Hill Blue home is pivotal in providing the children within our care with a sense of consistency, commitment, nurture, and care. As a mother-like or father-like figure in their lives, you will offer daily support and create a home environment that fosters growth, healing, and wellbeing. Your role will encompass essential caregiving tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and playing, as well as providing emotional and psychological support to young people.

**Nutritional Support**:

- Prepare freshly cooked breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily, which involves creating nutritious and healthy home-cooked meals.
- Prompting and supporting the young people to cook for the home on their day.
- Creating cultural weeks where the young people can explore food from their heritage or explore food they would like to taste.
- Supporting young people in developing their cooking skills.

**Household Management**:

- Ensure the house is kept clean.
- Ensure the young people's washing is done.
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual risk assessments are complete.
- House checks that need to be documented.

**Emotional and Psychological Support**:

- Provide emotional, psychological, and practical support for the young people.
- Engage in psychologically informed spaces, including reflective practice, formulation,clinical supervision, and weekly community meetings.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Provide support to the waking night staff if needed.
- Conduct handovers to ensure smooth communication and continuity of care.
- Working alongside our team of practitioners.
- Engaging in weekly reflective practice.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Report writing handover, daily reports, risk assessment updates, health and safety checks.
- Administer and dispose of medication.
- Order medication.
- Book appointments.
- Update calendar.
- Formulating plans for safer care.

**Outings and activities**:

- Taking young people to school, college or work.
- Taking young people out on day trips.
- Taking the young people on holiday trips.
- Taking the young people to appointments.

**Requirements**:

- Level in health and social care or related studies.
- Three years experience working with children.
- A driving licence is desirable.

Pay: £20,600.00-£41,600.00 per year
