**Accounts Assistant**

**Based**: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
**Term**: Permanent, Full time
**Salary**: £25000 - £30000 + excellent benefits

We design, develop, manufacture and market innovative professional audio equipment. Our amplifiers and processors are sold and used across the world. Some of the biggest venues and festivals are powered by Linea Research amplifiers and we are globally recognised as a leading manufacturer of professional amplifiers.

**Duties will include**:
**Primary functions**
- Processing payments, invoices, receipts, and journals and entering data into accounting software
- Management of incoming invoices, and maintaining electronic filing of documents
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances and cashflow forecasts
- Completing VAT returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Finance Controller of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Finance Controller to reconcile inaccuracies
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping the Finance Controller with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Perform reporting as required for the management team and develop new reports as required.

**Secondary functions**
- Other ad-hoc duties
- Plus all the other duties you would expect in a very busy office
- Assist & cover other departments’ requirements around the office (i.e., reception, filtering incoming calls to the rest of the company)
- The duties above are not exhaustive

**Skills and experience required**:

- AAT Level 3 qualified
- Previous experience in a similar finance role
- Experience of using business management systems ideally Access Supply Chain, or SAP, Oracle etc preferred
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Strong interpersonal skills working with other departments
- Someone highly organised and accurate with the desire and energy to help achieve set targets within a close team
