The main purpose of the role is to train and learn machine line 1 to support long term growth for the business and provide additional machine operator cover.

Main responsibilities
- Setting up Schelling Beam saw using Siemens PLC unit.
- Setting up Weinig Moulder using diamond tooling and siemens PLC unit
- Set up MB sander for each profile
- Set up de-stacker unit for off-load operation
- Assist Operations & Engineering with fault finding
- Carry out tool changes.
- Understand Lean manufacturing 5s, Kaizen etc.
- Look at improvements in machining area supporting line leader and Supervisor in driving continuous improvement..
- Understand “Tier” reporting hourly counts targets and issues / action improvements.
- Provide hands on and proactive in the continual improvement of machining activities & performance
- Understanding of Quality tolerances from controlled drawings.

Qualifications & experience
- Good level of English & Maths (GCSE Pass)
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of woodworking environment would be advantageous but not essential.

This role will be rotating shift which has a 12.5% allowance ( 06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 / 22.00) or permanent afternoon (14.00 - 22.00) shift of 25% allowance. Shift pattern to be discussed during interviews
