**Viking**have an exciting opportunity for a **Functional Test Analyst **to join our team based in **Milton Keynes**(hybrid working - 2 days home working per week). You will join us on a**full-time, permanent** basis and in return, you will receive an **excellent salary and benefits package.**

**About the Functional Test Analyst role**:
You will be responsible for performing software quality assurance and functional test activities on large-scale and/or technically complex projects which include designing, conducting, and reporting quality assessments for new or modified information technologysystems that are being developed. You will closely with partner business analysts and software engineers to fully understand system functionalities and data for both new and legacy systems.
**Your responsibilities as our Functional Test Analyst will include**:
- Providing feedback as part of the requirements review process, based on static analysis of both requirements documents and JIRA stories
- Developing test conditions, test cases, test scripts and test data, in line with the agreed quality standards, which will have the highest probability of detecting non-conformance within the solution under test
- Recording test evidence and actual test results against the expected results and retain for future reference
- Finding and raising bugs/defects, in accordance with the Defect Management procedures, and tracking through to satisfactory resolution
- Raising risks/issues to Test Portfolio Manager
- Working together with the business and developers when structuring/planning and executing test scripts
- Assisting with the onboarding of a new tester in QA
- Identifying and contributing towards process improvements
- Being the advocate of the quality assurance team within projects to ensure that correct QA process is being adhered to via strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
**What we’re looking for in our Functional Test Analyst**:
- 2 - 4 years of functional testing experience
- Planning skills; the ability to accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification
- Experience of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technological challenges
- Experience of test management tools e.g JIRA, Zephyr Scale
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills
- The ability to organise and work under pressure whilst producing quality deliverables
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
