**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for a Finance Administrator to become a vital part of the Operations Team, which provides the operational infrastructure for the business encompassing Human Resources, IT support, office provision and administration, finance reporting andtransaction processing, and company secretarial responsibilities.
This role will report to the Operations Manager with a professional line of accountability to the Chief Finance Officer.
**About you**:
You’ll be comfortable working alone, whilst being willing to learn and contribute to the wider team. You have excellent communication skills when relaying key messages to both internal and external customers. You have strong attention to detail, recognisingthat as a member of a small team, your colleagues will be relying on you to be accurate and diligent in your work.
You will be pro-active in looking for ways to support both the department and the business that may not be within the detail of your duties or job description, but further the wider aim of the team to provide a great service to our company and our customers.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for:
Transaction processing
- Sales ledger management
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices
- Revenue/Income recognition
- Debt collection
- Purchase ledger management
- Posting and coding invoices
- Preparing payment runs
- Managing the finance inbox
- Support the preparation of the monthly payroll
Financial accounting
- Accrue and prepay for business costs
- Monthly journal preparation (i.e. capitalisation and depreciation)
- Consolidation adjustments
- Support annual audit process
- Maintain finance process documentation
Management reporting and analytics
- Prepare company monthly management accounts packs
- Operate departmental reporting and review process
- Financial analysis and research to support business decision making
Contract management
- Administration of customer contract portal
- Support for contract preparation
(The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation).
**Essential experience**:
- Working towards or have completed relevant finance qualifications (e.g. CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience in corporate finance, accounting, corporate strategy, management consulting, or similar.
- Strong analytical capabilities, comfortable working with and accurately manipulating data to provide accurate and insightful reporting.
