**About the Employer**
This organisation is the membership body for English local (town and parish) councils. There are around 10,000 councils in England with over 100,000 councillors and of course you will get to work occasionally with the champion of parish councils, JackieWeaver. They hold a wide range of assets, raise about £600m per annum from residents through a small share of council tax, called a precept and support communities to the tune of around £2bn annually.
They are supported by a network of 43 county associations, independent bodies who support councils on the ground and set their objectives and strategic plan.**About the role and you**
Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic Finance and Administration Officer with knowledge of SAGE, excellent communication and organisational skills to support the business on a fixed term contract.
You will be responsible with the maintaining of the purchase ledger, including inputting invoices, coding to relevant nominal code, fortnightly BACs payment runs, sending remittance advices, setting up supplier accounts and also:
- Controlling and the administration of invoice authorisation process
- Controlling and the administration of all cheques
- Reconciliation of company credit card submissions
- Collection of performance indicator data (KPI)
- Covering for reception
- Creating SurveyMonkey forms
- Managing all job adverts
