**About the Role**
We’re looking for a **Junior Merchandise Planner** to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Planning, you’ll play a vital role in driving strategic decisions across key product categories. Your work will ensure we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time—delighting our customers and delivering results.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyse previous seasons’ performance and produce clear, actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the Head of Planning and Buyers to create group mix strategies across all channels.
- Attend Range Control and Selection meetings to support product planning and selection.
- Ensure buys align with signed-off buy plans and business objectives.
- Populate and manage WSSIs with budget and forecast KPIs.
- Monitor availability and performance of core lines, conducting regular reviews.
- Review trading performance of new season lines, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise sales.
- Analyse trial lines and new initiatives to inform future decisions.
- Provide performance overviews and commentary on markdown events (End of Season sales, clearance events, etc.).
- Track and highlight variances to sales plans and year-on-year performance.
**Your stakeholders**
Your main stakeholders will be employees of the business, in particular those within Buying, Supply Chain and Analyst areas.
**About You**
This role is perfect for someone with experience in merchandising who’s ready to make their mark in a growing planning function.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of their work and uses initiative to deliver results.
- Works to consistently high standards with a keen eye for detail.
- Is highly analytical and confident translating data into clear, concise action points.
- Has a commercial mindset and experience working with WSSIs (desirable).
- Is proficient in advanced Excel; familiarity with Power Pivot and BI tools is an advantage.
- Has previous experience in a similar role.
