Junior Merchandising Planner

**About the Role**

The role will support the Head of Planning in providing strategic decision making across the key categories within the business. Main areas of focus;
- Strategy, Planning, Stock and Trade.

**Technical Requirements**
- Review previous seasons and produce SWOT Analysis with supporting information.
- Work alongside the HOP and Buyer to create the group mix strategy for the category across all channels.
- Attend key Range Control and Selection meetings with the HOP and Buyer.
- Ensure the Buy matches the signed off Buy Plan.
- Populate the WSSIs with budget/forecast KPIs.
- Plan Intake on WSSIs before official orders are raised.
- Manage Line Cards for NOOS styles - carry out periodic reviews on performance, exposure, cover etc.
- Proposals for rebuys, deferment, cancellation.
- Review trading performance, identifying risks and opportunities across all platforms.
- Track and highlight variance to sales plan.
- Analyse trial and initiatives to provide clear insight.
- Provide overviews/commentary on Markdown events (End of Season, reactive).

**About You**

**Experience**

The individual will take ownership of their work, using initiative to deliver. They will work consistently at a high standard and have a keen interest in shaping this newly created Planning department off shoot within Merchandising. Highly analytical with an eye for detail and the ability to translate data into action points in a concise manner. A robust commercial focus and experience of working with WSSIs is a must. You should be accomplished in working at an advanced level on Excel. Familiarity with BI advantageous. Experience within a similar role is essential.
