London (with hybrid working in the UK)
The Organisation
We’re The Mix, a charity that provides free, confidential support for young people aged under 25. We believe all young people should be able to make informed choices about their physical and mental wellbeing so that they can live the lives they choose.
Life is tough, we know that. But support doesn’t have to be. That’s why we’re here to take on the embarrassing problems, weird questions and please-don’t-make-me-say-it-out-loud thoughts that people under 25 have.
Our Data, Research and Evaluation Team work to ensure that data, evidence and impact are at the heart of how we design and deliver services, projects and campaigns for young people.
We hold a rich dataset on the use of our services and conduct research with young people to better understand our users, their needs and how to improve our services to maximise positive outcomes for young people.
We’re now looking for a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Benefits
- Salary of £31,000 - £34,000 per annum
- 35 days’ holiday including bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Flexible and remote working available
- Childcare vouchers
- Eyecare vouchers
- Life assurance
- Weekly staff socials, plus Summer and Christmas Party
- Colleague of the month - awarded half a day extra annual leave (pro rata)
- Opportunity to work on occasion in a Central London location
- Monthly Clinical supervision offered for front line services staff
- Coaching Environment
- Learning, development and training options
If you’re passionate about helping young people improve their lives and have experience in a research, data analysis or evaluation role, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a real difference within our vital organisation.
We are committed to empowering everyone under 25 in the UK to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to make the right first steps in life for them. To do so, we need your expertise in data analysis to ensure our services meet the needs of our service users.
So, if you want to join a team of innovators, pioneers and risk-takers who dedicate themselves to helping young people, we want to hear from you
The Role
As a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, you will focus on data collection and analysis to ensure our services are developed to match the needs of service users.

You will also design and manage research projects, working in collaboration with academic partners.
**Additionally, you will**:
- Design and implement evaluations for our digital services and projects
- Work with Pulsar and other data sources to create insights on segments of young people
- Assist in creating an external data hub for young people and the sector
About You
To be considered as a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, you will need:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a research, data analysis or evaluation role
- Experience with designing questionnaires, evaluations or research projects
- Experience of quantitative data analysis, interpreting results and report writing
- Experience in data collection via online surveys
- Proficiency in quantitative research methodologies and evaluation methodologies
