**Qualifications, Experience and Skill sets**
- ACCA qualified (or finalist with significant experience)
- Minimum three years of experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Proficient in implementation and use of Accounting Apps, including Xero and Dext and other add-on Apps.
- A high level of computer literacy incl. MS office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in direct management of clients.

**Key responsibilities**
- Responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, including direct client contact and responsibility for client service assurance.
- To carry-out and ensure all periodic book-keeping and reconciliations are up to date.
- Responsibility for weekly and monthly payroll preparation and submission.
- Preparation and submission of client VAT returns
- Preparation of year-end financial statements for a varied client base including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparation of corporation tax and personal tax liabilities and advice on tax planning.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- To ensure monthly deadlines for all activities agreed with clients are met as well as to ensure timely and accurate submission of Confirmation Statements.
- Manage client billing and review work in progress
- Ability to plan and delegate work to the team, so that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Review the work of the team to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Offer advice and suggestions for improvements in Practice systems and procedures..
