Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Weeks worked - 43 weeks per year (term time)

Salary - £31,525.69 with annual increments (salary already pro-rated to working weeks)

Location - Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport with a transition to the Trust Clinical reporting structure within the next 12 months.

- 27 days annual leave rising to 30 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years plus bank holidays.

We are looking for a caring, supportive, positive and professional Senior School Counsellor to offer support and counselling services to students who present with or identify as having emotional and/or mental health difficulties. The Senior School Counsellorrole carries a case load and offers proactive, timetabled support to individual students as well as being able to be reactive based on student need.

About the role
- Provide a counselling service, using recognised approaches or methodologies, to referred students at Inscape House School.
- Take part in/lead any group intervention sessions as appropriate, and/or make necessary referrals to external agencies when indicated, working collaboratively with other agencies and healthcare professionals.
- Promote inclusion, equality, participation and the rights of children and young people and participate in decisions that affect their lives.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship and guidance to less experienced counsellors and students, when trained and as required.
