Five Education is supporting a Secondary school in Bristol and we are looking for a whole-class SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) on a supply basis As a TA, you will be assisting young people with their classwork, their ability to build and maintain good relationshipswith others, and encouraging and guiding them to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities and duties:

- Supporting 1:1 in class
- Help the young people move from one activity to the next
- Help the pupils to access the curriculum and possibly tailor the lesson of the activity to their level of ability
- Make learning fun and enjoyable
- Be a support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
- Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
Essential Criteria:

- Enthusiastic about working with young people and SEN, previous experience is preferred but not necessary
- 2 years worth of references
- A relevant DBS check
- Able to work between the hours of 8:30 and 15:30 and a minimum of 2 days per week
- Access to a bicycle, bus, or car

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employers NI. We are also proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does includeholiday pay.
Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks,TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
