The job in a nutshell

Do you have a way with words and a passion for communicating to colleagues?

We’re looking for an exceptional Internal Communications Assistant to join our team.

You will have Internal Communications experience of both operational and engagement communications. You will get involved with a wide range of Internal Communications projects effectively communicating key business and operational messages to our 10,000 colleagues in Hotels, Maintenance and our Support Office.

Versatile writing skills are a must as you will be expected to produce copy to suit different channels and needs, from internal social media posts to newsletters. A keen eye for detail is a must to review and correct copy for grammar and spelling across all communications.

What you’ll be doing:
Produce, edit, and implement communications content
- Draft operational and engagement communications including newsletters, information packs, articles and digital content.
- Produce content to support delivery of campaigns
- Coordinate and publish Manager’s Weekly Actions and the Weekly Hotel and Activity Report
- Supporting the research and gathering content for newsletters
- Keep our digital channels up to date, including our Operating Manual.

Plan and coordinate communication and campaign content
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, gather content for the plans and proposals for inclusion
- Ensure comms are properly planned and phased,
- Act as the gatekeeper for communications to ensure a timely and quality output.

Engage and advise key stakeholders
- Liaise and build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business to align common interests and give advice to deliver impactful communications that support our business strategy.
- Support change programme communications across the business.

Support the wider team
- Provide advice on how to turn their projects into campaigns, supporting communications principles.
- Work flexibly to support the other areas of internal communications

Personal development
- Keep up to date with best practice in internal communications and share learning and ideas with the team

What we’ll expect from you
- At least 2 years experience working in Internal Communications.
- Excellent all round office skills
- Experience of managing social media communications
- A self starter who is willing to get stuck in
- Filming and editing videos a must
