**Central Reservations Representative**

**Bury St Edmunds**

The Central Reservations Representative role is to process hotel bedroom bookings with accuracy to ensure both the guest and the hotel are fully informed of the booking details. Converting enquires into bookings, maximising on revenue in order to achieve targets whilst maintaining a high level of customer service both internally and externally.

**Key Job Role Areas**:

- Making hotel bookings and maximising revenue to achieve targets set
- Supporting the Meetings & Events team by taking enquiries
- Responding to enquiries in the Central Reservations mailbox
- Updating Venue Option bookings
- Hotel support with hotel closures and re-locating guests

**Key Accountabilities**
- Take and action incoming calls in a friendly, efficient and timely manner using the appropriate greeting
- Maximise revenue on every call by converting an enquiry into a booking and upselling room rates and room types i.e. superior rooms or rooms with a view
- As an individual and as part of the team achieve the teams telephone response and revenue targets
- Avoid being on 'Not Ready' or logged out at inappropriate times
- Ensure all bookings have all relevant information and that the booking notes to the hotel are clear and precise
- Produce Pro-forma invoices as necessary ensuring a high level of accuracy
- Handle credit card details and take deposit payments where applicable while ensuring PCI compliant
- Support the Meeting & Events team by completing enquiry forms
- Make and update Venue Option bookings in line with booking instructions
- Supporting hotels with closures and re-locations when required
- Building effective relationships with agencies and clients
