We are a long established family run business specialising in overnight, national, temperature controlled deliveries of fresh produce to Wholesale fruit and vegetable markets and other outlets.

A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Supervisor based at our Darenth location. This is an exciting opportunity for a career minded individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

**The Role**
- To ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Legal Compliance procedures are followed.
- Operating a fleet of vehicles from 3 locations over 7 days and 7 nights per week.
- Sourcing additional loads from third parties.
- Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives.
- To ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are carried out and maintained, addressing any issues where necessary.
- Planning of loads, allocation of drivers and quoting for work.
- Booking and Managing the restitution of containers.

**Requirements**:

- Customer focused.
- Compliance and Tachograph knowledge.
- Proven experience within a fast paced logistics environment.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Proactive decision maker and an organised/effective planner.
- Be able to build a network of allies and subcontractors.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Be able to be remain calm when working under pressure.
- PC and TMS systems literate.
- Own transport required owing to location.

The role is based mainly in Darenth, on occasions you may be required to work in Paddock Wood.

**Working hours and salary**
- Days of work: SUN-WED 7am - 7pm.
- Annual salary: £35,000.
- Payment every 4 weeks.
- Contract type: Permanent.
