**About the Role**:
As a full-time Teaching Assistant at our SEND school, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the unique needs of our students. Working alongside our experienced staff, you will provide personalized assistance within the classroom, ensuring that students receive the support necessary for their development and well-being. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, term time only, providing you with a healthy work-life balance. The pay begins at £76 per day.

- Patience and Resilience: A calm and patient demeanour, coupled with resilience, to provide unwavering support to students facing learning and behavioural difficulties.
- Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable, ready to adjust your approach to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and non-verbal communication to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Team Player: Collaborative nature, working cohesively with our dedicated staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

**Desired Experience**:
We value a diverse range of experiences in our Teaching Assistants and welcome applicants with various backgrounds. While prior experience in a similar role is desirable, we encourage individuals who are new to the profession and looking to begin their careers as Teaching Assistants to apply. Desired experience includes:

- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working in a special educational needs setting.
- Experience in care, childminding, nursery roles, or other childcare-related positions.
- Volunteering or mentoring experience with young people, showcasing your passion for supporting and inspiring their growth.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with specific learning difficulties, such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language impairments.

**Transferable Skills and Experience**:
We recognize the value of transferable skills that can contribute to the success of our school community. Skills gained from the following experiences are highly relevant:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning and development.
- Effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Knowledge of assistive technology or alternative communication methods.
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and personal care needs.

**Duration and Career Prospects**:
This role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity, with an initial duration of 12 working weeks.
