We are recruiting for a Technical Author to join the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) and support the development of the Sizewell C project. This is your chance to contribute to a ground-breaking low-carbon energy project that will power 6 million homes and support a sustainable future. Sizewell C is more than just a project; it's a legacy that will supply clean, reliable electricity for at least 60 years.
As a Technical Author in the Pre-Construction team, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing compelling technical proposals and supporting documentation. Your work will directly contribute to the Target Outturn Cost (TOC) submissions that form the foundation of the works to be delivered by CWA.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop technical content for TOC submissions, including case studies, project innovations, and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, HSES teams, and stakeholders to ensure safety, sustainability, and environmental considerations are integral to submissions.
Manage information systems and assist in drafting specific responses to queries during the TOC process.
Provide input into technical solutions that consider site constraints, legal requirements, and the wider impact of the project.
**What We're Looking For**:
Strong technical writing skills and excellent verbal communication.
A solid understanding of civil engineering, ideally within complex construction projects.
Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
