This can either be a full time post for 1 person or 2 part time posts for 2 people.

12-hour shifts, a combination of days and nights (10AM-10PM/10PM-10AM)

Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

Female staff only due to the nature of the care provided. This job is exempt from discrimination under the occupational need act.

Location of Work: with employer

Post Holder Responsible to: employer

Driver: Most hold a full UK driving license

Purpose of Job: It is the job of the personal care assistant to assist the employer in all areas of personal care, household chores and accessing the community.

Included with the job are 5.6 weeks annual leave, statutory sick pay and statutory pension.

Responsibilities of the Job:
Your role is to provide the employer with the help she needs so that she can live the way she chooses.

Confidentiality

It is the jobholder’s responsibility to arrive at work on time and to give notice if they are going to be more than 15 minutes late.

To complete care logs/handover forms for the employer before leaving shift.

To complete timesheets

To attend all training and meetings arranged.

The following tasks may or may not form part of your working hours and will vary according to what the employer has planned. Ideally, you will be flexible both in terms of your role and also hours of working which again could be variable according to our plans.

1. Assisting employer to independently take care of her pets

2. Personal care

3. Hoisting

4. Medication

5.Continence/stoma care

6. Help with university work and any job roles

7. Domestic tasks such as supporting the environment

8. Family and community
- support to maintain family roles and relationships, access community, run errands and activities etc.

9. Working days, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights etc.

10. Helping with paperwork, bills, letters etc.

11. PEG care

12. Respiratory care

We can offer free diplomas/NVQs in health and social care and other qualifications. You will also receive in-house training and support until you are settled into the job. Experience in care is not required. You also receive a free DBS for Child and Adult Care.

I am a young woman with a long term care team. My other staff have been with me for a few years so we are now looking for the last members to create my forever team. I am an active person within my job roles, university work, furry family and handmade business. I am looking for someone to join in and offer fun and laughter to my home. As a young growing family, there are many fun things planned. We always have a joke, organise team bonding events and just have a great time making memories. The home is a family atmosphere and we are confident new staff will enjoy themselves.
