**About Us**
Acer Ecology is an ecological and wildlife consultancy based in Cardiff Bay. We provide a full range of ecological, wildlife and protected species surveys.
The company is seeking a full time Ecologist (up to 37.5 hours per week but other working hours considered) to join our small but friendly team. Flexible working arrangements are possible.
**Main Responsibilities**
The main responsibilities of the role are running the day-to-day administration of the office, including bookkeeping, diary management, survey planning, customer contact and marketing.
**Main Duties**
- Receiving and redirecting telephone calls as appropriate. Dealing with and resolving, as appropriate, general enquiries;
- Diary management and coordinating office procedures;
- Preparing quotations and tenders for new work opportunities;
- Responding to and resolving any administrative problems;
- Invoicing, book-keeping and chasing outstanding invoices;
- Using spreadsheets to track expenses.
- Building relationships with clients and educating them about what products/services are available and how to purchase them;
- Giving feedback on office efficiency and suggesting possible improvements; and
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature and campaigns

- Organised with the ability to prioritize work in an efficient manner;
- Strong and confident communicator both verbal and written;
- Enthusiastic, self motivated and strong desire to succeed;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Very good level of numeracy and English literacy/articulation/pronunciation;
- Ability to work within a busy and demanding team environment;
- Able to work with minimum amount of supervision and on own initiative;
- Professional demeanour and outlook;
**Desirable Personal Qualities**
- Interest in ecology and the environment.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cardiff CF10 5LG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
