An excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a leading manufacturing company based in the heart of Shropshire.

This Group role will support the delivery of a wide range of products as well as modular lighting, battery, and solar products for the company's subsidiaries and clients.

Create high-quality robust 3D solid models and detailed 2D technical drawings based on survey information supplied by sales managers. Working alongside our Product Design Engineer and Lighting Engineer you will supply models and drawings to external fabricatorsfor product realisation.

Involvement with new product development including part design, cost estimation, prototyping and testing through to BOM creation, works production drawings and instructions for installation.

Have a collaborative mindset working within a multi-disciplinary team and with a willingness to learn new skills in product performance testing.

**Skills and experience**:
A sound knowledge of engineering design principles.

A demonstrable experience of working with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.

Good critical thinking, numeracy, and computer skills.

An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.

A knowledge of material properties.

Good listening and communications skills.

Basic safe workshop practice skills for prototyping and design validation.

Creative flair.

Have an ability to meet deadlines.

To conduct site visits, therefore a valid vehicle licence is required.
