Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company in their search for a Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician to work for a leading company who are located in Telford.For the successful Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician our client is offering:Competitive rate paying between - £26,000 - £27,000 - Lots of progression opportunitiesPermanent positionDays based role 8:30am-5pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays - 36.5 hours per week - Must be flexible to start / finish timesGreat entry level opportunity with on the job training providedOpportunities for progressionOpportunity to gain field related QualificationsCompany VanOvertime opportunities paid at premium ratesThe Role - Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:Shadowing a Senior Engineer to fully understand the roleCarrying out site surveys and investigationWriting up reportsPerform maintenance checks and troubleshooting tests of existing protection systemsProject managementCollecting & reviewing data to determine condition of structures under evaluationInvolvement in installation projectsTravelling across the UK to customers, overseas travel maybe involved as the role develops in timeThis role will involve travelling away during the week - But not on weekendsCommissioning activitiesWhat our client is looking for in a Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:You must be willing to stay away from home as this will involve being away from home most weeks Monday to Thursday/Friday Strong communication skillsOur client is looking for somebody with a Qualification in either - Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Understanding of CAD softwareExcellent attention to detailKeen to learn, this position will be working closely with a more experienced EngineerUK Driving Licence - EssentialPassport - EssentialKey Skills or Similar Job Titles:Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician, Cathodic Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, CP TechnicianCommutable from:UK Wide, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, South West, South East, London, Southampton, Somerset, Bristol, Suffolk
