Kennel Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming, bathing, and basic grooming tasks
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
- Ability to take phone bookings when required
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting required OR student attending higher education for animal care industry.
- Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with pet owners
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a bonus
**Skills**:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
