We are looking for an operational HR/People Advisor for our Sainsburys Distribution Centre site in Northampton. You will work within this small, busy team to provide a professional service covering all aspects of employee relations, the colleague lifecycle, recruitment, engagement and D&I initiatives. We are looking for an experienced People Advisor with employee relations experience.

Salary £32,000 to £35,000 DOE

**How will you contribute?**
- Providing high quality advice and generalist HR support across the site
- Manage a busy employee employee caseload, advising on legislative and company policy and procedures in an efficient manner
- Develop effective on-going relationships at all levels establishing yourself as a credible, respected and valued People Advisor, responding to queries directly and influencing Managers to follow a best practice approach
- Assist departmental Managers on the interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures as well as local agreements
- Support the delivery of the People agenda for the year, making adjustments where required to suit the business
- Compile and analyse management information/data
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and development of the management team
- Line management of HR Assistant

**What will you bring?**
- Proven HR experience in similar fast paced and busy role
- Proven and demonstrable skills in providing pragmatic, tailored HR advice
- Experience of employee relations and supporting managers with these issues
- Competent knowledge of UK employment law
- Must have excellent organisational skills and initiative, with the ability to manage the day-to-day HR processes effectively
- Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint including HR databases
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility with hours to meet needs of operation
- Passionate about developing and supporting colleagues to fulfil their potential
