**Programme Support Officer**

**3 Year FTC**

**Your role**:

- Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Environment Team is looking for a Programme Support Officer to help deliver our ambitious Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) programme, a key part of Greater Manchester’s 5-Year Environment Plan.

You’ll work with communities, schools, businesses, and local authorities to help drive forward our environmental priorities - from circular economy initiatives to sustainable lifestyle programmes.
- While the role is hybrid, involving both office and home working, a significant portion of the role will require travel within the community to support delivery and engagement.

- Is experienced in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including community groups, schools, and local authorities
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities

As part of our commitment to ‘Build Back Fairer’ in Greater Manchester following the Covid-19 pandemic, we have evolved our management methods by trusting and empowering staff to deliver their work in the best way that suits the business and their individual needs, and supports health and wellbeing. Our hybrid working policy sets out a flexible approach, combining attendance at our [Manchester city centre office / Fire and Rescue service HQ in Swinton / other location] with remote working, typically from home; the location of work is primarily dictated by the needs of the business: ‘Do what is right for you and the business on that day’. If appointed to the role you will work with your manager to agree and regularly review the best working pattern for you, your team and your work.
