**Position overview**:
To provide commercial, contractual and financial management, support, advice, influence and guidance to enhance long-term profitable business growth and to minimise any potential commercial risks in support of our purpose to be a leading provider of sustainablesolutions, supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero.

Commercial Account Managers are a key interface and point of contact for our customers at Wilton and in the Flex portfolio, delivering excellent customer service and proactively seeking continuous improvement. Our approach is to adopt a collaborative businesspartnering mentality both externally with our customers and internally with other teams across the Sembcorp business, with particular focus on the UK Operations team. The Commercial Account Manager will report to the Head of Commercial.

**Key responsibilities**:
Build and nurture customer relationships in order to retain existing customers, continue to win new contracts and deliver customer service excellence.

Maintain the basis for long-term relationships by regularly reviewing our customer’s needs and long-term direction to identify future plans and originate organic growth opportunities.

Strive to evolve our customer service offering with a strong focus on a long-term, collaborative partnership approach.

Evaluate customer service operational delivery and customer satisfaction, review feedback and work alongside Sembcorp business functions to drive continuous improvement.

Ensure that Sembcorp is fulfilling its contractual obligations to its Customers.

Assist in the implementation of marketing and business growth strategies to help meet organisational goals and objectives.

Undertake market research to help inform strategic business decisions, identify threats and opportunities.

Assist in negotiations to restructure, renew or agree new customer contracts and commercial arrangements.

Working as a team with other Sembcorp business functions to cascade improved commercial awareness, facilitate informed commercial decision making and clearly understood boundaries.

Adopt and embed a business partnering culture between commercial and operational, technical specialists to ensure the commercial strategy supports the technical and operational requirements of the Utilities business.

To analyse business commercial issues and to articulate, advise, influence and motivate stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve the best commercial solutions for Sembcorp.

To provide education and training to the Sembcorp business functions in order to improve the overall commercial awareness of the business

Develop awareness and understanding of commercial processes across the business to create buy in from all departments.

Support the Head of Commercial and UK Operations Director in the preparation and negotiation of services and utilities contracts.

Management of services and utilities contracts including day to day issues and enquiries.

Management of building leases including day to day issues and enquiries.

Ownership and production of contracts and leases from original proposal through to contract execution.

Negotiation, development and renewal of existing contracts.

P&L responsibility for contracts allocated to the role.

Customer liaison being a responsive main point of contact for services and utilities customers including regular liaison meetings.

Provide commercial support to all services and utilities business areas within Sembcorp UK.

Liaise with legal and business functions to ensure commercial validity of customer’s terms and conditions.

Management of internal processes to ensure full recovery of revenue from new and existing contracts and leases are recovered.

Management of internal processes to ensure all new contracts are validated in accordance with Sembcorp UK’s corporate governance procedures.

Forecasting and budgeting of Customer Demands, prices and including the development of pricing structures and cost models.

Developing and maintain database for the information on services, utilities and trading.

Provide commodity support as required, including trading activities and National Grid interface management

Prepare contract revenue information for review with the Finance Manager and Head of Commercial.

**Essential**

Comparable commercial and/or financial ownership and management of long-term customer relationships

Commercial and legal contract reviews

Familiar with different types of cost models including fixed price, cost plus, etc

Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to clearly communicate commercial responsibilities and risks

Contract law

Understanding of contracts and/or leases

Drafting of contracts and/or leases

Negotiation skills and the ability to influence and motivate others to achieve desired outcomes

Interpersonal skills (leadership, problem solving, relationship building)

Self-motivated and demonstrates ability to work within a team

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Customer focussed approach (internal and external)

Clear and concise communication skills, written and spoken

Ability to think analytically, identify solutions and problem solve - displays initiative and innovative mindset

Awareness to quickly and openly communicate issues that require escalation for resolution

Takes ownership and embraces accountability
