Internally and contractually this role is known as IT Technology Director

What it's like to work here Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and your teams.

The Trust is continuing to invest in technology in order to deliver ambitious strategic goals. Our IT department delivers operational support and several sizable business driven programmes at any one time, as well as supporting a large operationalnationaluser base of 12,000 staff, 60,000 volunteers and almost 6 million members.

What you'll be doing We’re looking for a leader with a deep technical background who will directly lead a team of three heads of department. An inspirational andempowering leader, you’ll be responsible for a team of approximately 100 IT professionals, including technical engineeringand operational teams. Your ability to communicate well, adapt your communication style and easily build relationships will be key to creating strong networks both internally and externally, with stakeholders at every level.

We’re looking for a leader in technology who has extensive experience in implementing a wide range of strategic technology programmes and projects within complex organisations. Having an holistic view of the organisation and its technology requirements,you’ll have responsibility for developing and delivering the Trust’s technology strategy and roadmap whilst aligning to the organisation’s strategic priorities.

Keeping close to technology trends and innovation you’ll ensure our offer remains current, balanced with making sure that the Trust is getting maximum value for charitable funds through technology convergence and reuse where appropriate. Being highly analyticaland able to translate complex information into compelling business plans you will have a good grasp of enterprise architecture and how that can be used to align technology and business benefits.

- You will have the ability to communicate and collaborate across teams, working with partners and teams to deliver technology solutions to business needs.
- You will have strong presentational and inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, working on a wide range of challenges simultaneously, to demanding timescales.
- You will have experience of leading technology innovation to drive business value.
- You will have experience of running large, complex £multi-million programmes in a multi-site, multi-vendor environment.
- You will have knowledge and experience of architectural design and strategic planning skills
The package **Salary: £90,000 including private medical cover, bi-annual health screening, pension scheme with a generous matched contribution rate and other benefits.**
