Our 12-month Technology Industrial Placement means a rewarding year in banking for ambitious undergraduates who enjoy solving problems and learning new skills.

As a high-performing undergraduate, you'll have the opportunity to join one of our key technical areas: Data & Functions Technology Delivery, Security & Resilience, or Cloud, Digital & Integration. You'll submit a single application to the area that most interests you. From day one, you'll gain hands-on experience, develop both technical and business skills, and contribute to projects that make a real impact for our 16 million members.

You'll build trusted relationships across the organisation, and learn from a network of high-performing colleagues, all working to deliver for customers, communities and society.

We'll support your development through workshops, simulations, accreditations and on-the-job learning, helping you grow with confidence. You'll also work on a Social Impact project work with other Placement colleagues,and join an individual learning pathway to continuously develop your skills.

Our Technology Industrial Placements provide a potential opportunity to join our Technology Development Programme (TDP) once you've finished your studies. Following successful completion of your placement, and with the right drive and attitude, there is the opportunity to build a rewarding career with us.

Security & Resilience (Swindon)

The Security & Resilience team play a vital role in protecting our 16 million members' money and data. The team is made up of several specialised areas, each contributing to service availability and maintaining our trusted reputation.

You can expect a role that's varied, challenging, and rewarding, with opportunities to work across different areas such as our Security Operations Centre, Cloud Security, Technical Vulnerability team, or alongside our Consultancy, Engineering, and Architecture teams to help secure our products and services.

You may support activities such as risk assessments, threat modelling, threat intelligence research, event monitoring, and coordinating penetration tests.

There may be an opportunity to join our Technology Development Programme (TDP) on completion of your studies, where we'll support you in developing critical technical skills including Technical Vulnerability, Penetration Testing, Detection Engineering, Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Event Monitoring.

In Security & Resilience (Swindon) you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding our customers' interests by ensuring the security of our customers' funds and data.

Location

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, based at our Swindon office.

  • Studied for a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths)

You must be studying toward an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
