What will you be doing as a Case Officer?
Case officers joining the public advice and data protection complaint service can expect a varied and interesting work load
You will initially be responsible for setting up cases on our complaints handling system requiring data input skills and attention to detail
You will also be trained to answer calls providing excellent customer service to our busy advice line from members of the public seeking advice about how the law applies
Once fully trained they will have the opportunity to deal with all manner of data protection complaints and enquiries we receive from start to finish
The role involves telephoning and writing to those people or organisations who contact us or who have had complaints made about them
Case officers have to use their judgement to weigh up all the evidence on a case and decide whether there has been a breach of the data protection law
Where a breach has taken place you will advise the organisation what to do to put things right or in serious cases you will work with more senior colleagues to take action
you have the following skills and experience we would LOVE to hear from you:
Bright and enthusiastic with the willingness to learn
Friendly team workers with excellent interpersonal skills and great attention to detail
Strong telephony skills who are happy to talk and provide advice and guidance to people over the phone
Judgement and analytical skills to make decisions
Keen to provide an excellent service
Good PC literacy and ability to learn new systems

Salary GBP22325 pay rate per hour GBP11.60p/h
Working from home and remote induction - in the future the role will return to the Wilmslow head office
Weekly pay

Flexible working hours available in the future
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 37 hours
