**Salary**: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hertford

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.30pm

COMPANY PROFILE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accountant to join a dynamic accountancy practice in Hertford.

You will also have obtained a Level 4 AAT qualification.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of Xero accounts or similar system
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Organised and good time keeping skill
- Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
- Excellent communicator and friendly telephone manner
- Have a good understanding of HMRC Regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Analyse financial data
- Regular contact with clients by telephone
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Monthly payroll
- Credit control on occasion
- Other ad-hoc duties when required
