**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as a Materials Planner, in this key role you will play an active role as part of a team responsible for ensuring both raw & packaging materials are available to meet fluctuating demand within the Sausage & Deli manufacturing facilities. Maintaining inventory levels of raw & packaging materials through effective ordering, forecasting and inventory control processes. Liaising with a variety of internal and external parties, including suppliers and hauliers to ensure high levels of service are maintained both efficiently and cost effective. Some of what you can expect to be doing includes:

- Placing orders for materials varying from short-shelf life to packaging lines, according to specifications, ensuring goods are delivered.
- Reporting on all delivery related issues directly with the supplier and internal stakeholders i.e. supplier shortages, late deliveries, damaged goods.
- Management of off-site stocks including calling off for site use.
- Ensuring forecast information is updated & provided as required to suppliers & Group Procurement.
- Reporting of contract balances as required & ensuring on target/flag to both business & suppliers of significant changes where appropriate.
- Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
- Being part of a team that develops & Maintains a KPI suite to identify OTIF, delivery charges, capacity, MOQs/slow moving stocks, redundant stock write offs, waste management & appropriate resource stock levels.
- Investigating & resolving yield/stock variances and re-occurrences of waste as part of a wider team.
- Managing stock run-downs to delist, minimising write off.
- Liaising with suppliers on stock management/vendor managed inventory.

- Experience of working within a fast-paced FMCG Materials Management environment.
- Dealing with short shelf life materials.
- Managing multiple suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written, with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and analyse complex data.
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to deliver alternative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and with people at different levels both internally & externally.
- The ability to work flexible hours in line with business needs.
