**Description**:
The HR Advisor will provide proactive and professional support to employees and managers across all areas of HR, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. The role will focus on fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting the organisation in achieving its strategic goals through effective people management solutions. This role will require regular travel to 3 sites within the division, these locations are Manchester, Middlesbrough and Tilbury.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Employee Relations**:

- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, and performance issues utilising our internal HRIS. Provide clear and consistent advice to managers in line with employment law and organisational policies.

**Investigations and Disciplinary Processes**:

- Lead or support formal investigations, including gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing detailed and impartial reports. Provide advice and guidance to managers on appropriate actions and outcomes following investigations. Ensure all processes are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with organisational policies and legal requirements.

**Policy Implementation and Guidance**:

- Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

**Recruitment and Onboarding**:

- Assist in recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and providing guidance on hiring decisions. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the organisation.

**HR Administration**:

- Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, leave, and employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance. Prepare reports and analytics to inform decision-making and track key HR metrics.

**Learning and Development**:

- Support the L&OD department by identifying training needs and the delivery of development programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Monitor training outcomes and provide feedback to improve effectiveness.

**Change Management**:

- Support managers and employees during periods of organisational change, ensuring clear communication and effective implementation of change initiatives.

**Wellbeing and Engagement**:

- Promote employee wellbeing through initiatives and programs that foster a positive workplace culture. Including Occupational health referrals and yearly surveillance co-ordination. Support employee engagement surveys and action plans to drive continuous improvement.

**Ad-hoc Projects**:

- Participate in or lead HR-related projects, as required, to support the broader goals of the organisation.
